What is a fountain pen

A fountain pen is a writing instrument that uses ink to produce written words. Unlike a ballpoint pen, which uses a small rotating ball to transfer ink onto the paper, a fountain pen has a nib that draws ink from a reservoir and applies it to the paper in a controlled manner.
